How it started
As soon as it turned out I'm going to be a father I started looking for an aircooled VW which is more family friendly than my beetle. I'm not a Transporter-guy at all and always had a thing with estates, so I focused on 411/412s & Type 3 Variants or Squarebacks as they are called in the US. I realized I will not have any spare time for a project car anymore so the aim was finding something that I can drive and live with as is. Took me a good 2 years to find an interesting car, and when I say interesting I mean the shape, the extras and, well, the color too...since it is hot P I N K. This is how she was waiting me next to the dutch-german border in Germany. It is a late model (long-nose) with the latest (2 vent holes in center) dash, also meaning in the thear it has the IRS suspension by default.
